Is the blocking bet a old fashion move?

Some guys in the forum that I hang around, are calling blocking bets old fashioned, a fishy play, a donation move, etc, etc.

It really is? What about if you make your river blocking bets seems like your value bets? For that propose, maybe you have to make them a bit bigger than the original concept. Or your value bets are small?

What about making looking like your frequent bluffs? If you bluff frequently, you are called much more light, and if so, they are no longer blocking bets but thin value bets.

Let’s see this "old move" by an old timer.
